Platformica Worktop

Hello all, got some food-related waffle for you.

In times of stress I tend to comfort-eat, which in my case involves a return to the stodgy fare I sort of grew up on (if in fact I ever did grow up). Here's an example - a chip butty. Yum

Her's a more healthy meal - French onion soup, duck a l'orange with rice and asparagus. This is the stuff I should be eating and, not this:

Finally a self-portrait:

Well I was bored.

In other news, Wifey's told me what I'm getting for my Birthday and I'm SO excited. Oh shut up.

Be good.

  3. Oooh, what should I get you?

I want comforting chip butties! I'm sick in bed with the dreaded lurgee. It's rubbish.

  6. The self portrait reminds me of when you came to work on your bicycle.

Needless to say, I preferred it when I saw your Ka.

  11. Hi,

Had a good interview this morning but everything is so precarious, Im sick to my stomach of it.

Ow's tings? Its so cold here the balls fell off the brass monkey, an not inclined to venture out even if its sunny. T is on break so they went to the seaside ...

I hate not working ... no-one to talk to and my nerves are shot so I feel like Im really in attention-seeking mode!

I had my fathers favourite comfort food last night (omelette pomme de terre et salad vert) My heart broke ... I wish he was still here he could fix it for me.

  12. Sent you a joke on Facebook

  13. Yes I read the joke. It didn't make me laugh, but I squirmed a bit.
Oi, so there's a good chance you'll get the job? That's good news as long as we all believe you will be able to stay put.
Everybody reading, please send positive thoughts to the Limerick area. Keep Odette Irish is what we say.

  14. You are a pet, thank you ... hugz

  15. Hey Odette, I think it's great you're allready going for interviews. You're obviously in demand! Why would you have to leave Limerick?? I'm sure Limerick is full of unemployed people just now. Unemployed is not unemployable. It's a rest you're having is all - enjoy the break. If you got a job tomorow - you'd be regretting not having more of a break!!

  16. Dear Alexanderbusby

Thank you for the kind words and you are right ... its a global situation and I like your tinking - umemployed is not unemployable. I am in a panic because work permits and residency issues are at stake here and a small problem with pending deportation but you are right ... its not me ... its everyone ... Im just taking it too personally.

Im going to Dublin to good friends for the weekend to get a break from it all. It will be a nice trip and I should feel better on my return.

Take care and have fun :-)
