..and that was the 1000th hit on Squirrel Times, only about 900 of which were me, checking the hit counter.
For the geeks out there, Ferret Times was at about 9300 when we all shuffled over here.

Anonymous Commenting
Ok, after numerous complaints (one), I've allowed anonymous commenting, which I hate.

Six thousandth hit!
Posting and checking this blog entry will be the 6000th hit. Not bad for a pipe-bender from Tuebrook eh? Yes I know, it's pathetic really. Still, anything to cheer us up at the moment.
I found myself with a whole day of lounging about before my flight, so I braved the heat and trundled over to Lumphini park. Got some film of a woman doing Tai Chi with a gigantic chrome sword...
Bizarre eh?
Also took this self-portrait, as soon as I got to the park. I look very stressed here. Could be due to yesterday's news, could be because I hate being so hot and sweaty. I really should work in a cool place.
I sat and read my kindle for a while, cooled off a bit, but then became unreasonably angry at the flies that kept crawling on my greasy skin. Here when you sweat it doesn't evaporate, just stays on your skin like you've been basted with a particularly salty brand of olive oil. Anyway I walked the park for a while and then went home to my lovely AC unit. Here's an arty farty panorama of Lumphini..

Connections
Just noticed the blog has a new follower, none other than the brother of my oldest friend (which I suppose makes him my second-oldest friend). Hello Roy, how are things? Actually you might not have the tech know-how to answer, but never mind. Then again, maybe I'm doing you a misservice and you've become Mr Geek since we last met.
If you can answer (and it's really not that hard) I'd like to know how brother John and family are doing, also what you're both riding nowadays, if anything. I presume John's still got that rusty old Trident. Ahh, memories.
See some of my old posts for details of my two-wheeled escapades, but basically here in Bangkok I've gone and bought a bike virually identical spec-wise to the one I bought in 1974 when I was sweet 17. Talk about full-circle. Only difference is that was a Honda, this is a Kawasaki. Oh, and I didn't bury this one in the side of an Austin England after two weeks.
More soon. Be good.

Spam
I hate that word. Even the Monty Python aspect.
Anyway, it seems that all (or most of) you folks who signed up as followers have stopped getting email reminders. That's because there are enough of you for the emails to be considered "Bulk" and your email clients will throw them in the spam folder. That's easy enough to fix - there should be a "Not Spam" button somewhere - but highly annoying. I tried pressing the button myself, and the next few emails still went into spam, so that's a bit worrying.
Also most of you aren't even reading this because you didn't get reminders. AAAAArgh!

Notificationisationism
Does anyone want notifying when there's a juicy new item on ferret times?(like this one, for instance) It saves having the extreme disappointment of checking back every ten minutes, only to find that lazy arse Russell has nothing to say yet again. If you want notifying, let me have a suitable email address and I'll add it to the list. Ten maximum so hurry while stocks last.
Also coming soon - mobile blogging. I'll be able to lob stuff to the blog from my phone, including photos. Sweet.
Send your address to russell.hindley@virgin.net. Not you, Lyn and Christine, you're already notificated.
